Jana Durkan joined the Taft Union High School District in the spring of 2000 as a teacher in the district's alternative education program. In the fall of 2004, she began providing Guidance Counseling services to TUHS students. Beginning with the fall of 2013, she joined the Oil Technology Academy as the primary Guidance Counselor for the program. Jana holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo along with a Master of Arts in Education - Counseling and Personnel Service from California State University, Bakersfield. When not keeping busy with TUHS, you can find her enjoying time with family and a round of golf!
