Lisa Borreco is starting her 17th year of teaching. Throughout her teaching career, Lisa has taught grades 9-12, been the yearbook advisor, class advisor, and currently runs the social media account for Oil Tech. She also coached volleyball at Taft College for 13 years. Lisa is a Taft High graduate- class of 1997. She received her bachelor's in English at Cal State Bakersfield and her teaching credential at the University of LaVerne. She is currently in the graduate program at CSUB, working on her master's in English. During the summer, Lisa loves to travel. So far, she’s been to 26 states, 8 countries and 3 continents. She is also an avid baseball fan and is trying to go to all 30 MLB stadiums. Lisa loves teaching in the Oil Technology Academy because it has allowed her to build relationships with students, not only in the classroom but also through outside school activities.
